As part of this inspiring project, a brand-new Artist Studio on Moor Walk has been created right here on The Moor, offering visitors a unique opportunity to watch the Pride of Yorkshire sculptures being brought to life.
Watch the Lions Come to Life on Moor Walk
In the lead-up to the exhibition, talented artists from across South Yorkshire and beyond will transform a series of larger-than-life lion sculptures into vibrant works of art.
From 11th December, the public can enjoy a behind-the-scenes view of the creative process, with large studio windows allowing passers-by to watch the artists in action.
Whether you’re visiting for festive shopping, dining, or having a day out make sure to stop by Moor Walk on The Moor and see the sculptures taking shape in real time.
Celebrating Yorkshire Through Art
The artist line-up features a fantastic mix of well-known South Yorkshire creatives and fresh talent from across the UK. Their designs draw inspiration from local heritage, spectacular scenery, iconic locations, famous faces, and the stories that make our region truly special.
These lions will go on to form part of the Pride of Yorkshire art trail — and here on The Moor, you can witness the very first brushstrokes.
