The Moor in Sheffield is running a competition called Planet Protectors that’s open to all schools and nurseries in Sheffield with £750 worth of books available to the winning school or nursery.
The Moor is passionate about the environment and helping the UK to reduce global temperature increases to less than 2 degrees Celsius by 2050. Already, The Moor has worked hard to reduce its carbon footprint and protect the planet by saving 462.1 tonnes of carbon emissions in 2022, by diverting all waste from landfill. We would like to extend our love for the earth to local Sheffield schools and nurseries by inviting them to take part in our “Planet Protectors” competition.
Our Planet Protectors Competition will get children learning about the environment in a fun and engaging way with a chance for one school or nursery to win £750 worth of books!
To take part, each school or nursery must create a superhero model out of recyclable materials and bring it to The Moor in Sheffield by the 19th of May 2023. Each superhero model will be displayed at various locations on The Moor where shoppers and visitors can then vote for their favourite between 29th May – 2nd June. The superhero creation with the most votes will win a £750 book voucher for their school or nursery. The wining school or nursery will be announced on 5th June 2023 – World Environment Day.
