This summer The Moor is bringing a whole host of free family friendly entertainment to the city centre to keep your little ones entertained during the summer break.
Between the 8th and 12th of August, The Moor will be a hive of activity with free activities for families to get involved with.
There will be an area set up for visitors to sit and relax in the sunshine, whilst children can play a variety of giant garden games including Jenga, Connect 4, snakes and ladders, quoits, and noughts and crosses.
Throughout the week The Moor will have a whole host of entertainers joining them. All the activities will be free to those attending the event. To kick start the event there will be free face painting on the 9th of August between 10:30am and 2:30pm.
On the 10th of August there will be a balloon modeller on The Moor giving out free balloon creations to those attending the event. Balloon modelling will be held at regular intervals throughout the day (11am – 11:30am, 12:30pm – 1pm, 1:30pm – 2pm).
Visitors can enjoy children’s story telling on the 11th of August. Come along and listen to childhood classic at regular intervals (10:30am – 11am, 11:30am – 12pm, 12:30pm – 1pm and 1:30pm – 2pm).
For the final day of the event there will be a magician on The Moor. On the 12th of August the children’s magician will be entertaining crowds with amazing magic tricks between 11am – 11:30pm and 1pm – 1:30pm.
Visitors to the event will also have the chance to win one of four £25 gift cards for The Entertainer. There will be a Moor Fun in the Sun selfie pop up that children can put their faces in and have their photo taken. Upload your photo to the Moor’s Facebook page (@TheMoorSheffield) with the hashtag #MoorFunInTheSun for a chance to win. The winners will be picked at random on the 15th of August.
Amanda Phillips, centre manager for The Moor, said: “We are looking forward to holding a summer event on The Moor this year. We hope that this event will attract visitors to the city centre over the summer holidays.
“We understand how hard it can be to keep children entertained over the school summer break, and we hope this event will provide some much-needed entertainment to keep the little ones busy over the Summer”.
