This summer, families and explorers alike are invited to take part in Star Seekers, a brand-new city-wide trail experience based on our extraordinary solar system spanning Sheffield city centre.
Running across The Moor, Leah’s Yard and Orchard Square, the trail offers a fun, hands-on way to learn about stars and space while also exploring local shops and venues.
Launching on Thursday 24th July and running for six weeks, Star Seekers is a free, interactive experience designed to be picked up and played at your own pace. Participants collect an illustrated booklet from a designated hub before setting off on a journey within that location.
At each stop, players search for ‘Star’ posters displayed in venue windows, marking them on the map to uncover a hidden constellation. Successful star seekers then return to their starting hub to receive a prize. Once all three trails are completed, players receive a Star Seeker certificate and are entered into a prize draw for the chance to win £150 in vouchers to spend across Sheffield city centre.
Participants can begin their adventure by collecting a booklet from one of the following hub venues within each location:
– The Moor: Forbidden Planet
– Orchard Square: Sheffield Plate
– Leah’s Yard: Chocolate Bar.
