A vibrant celebration of culture, creativity and community is set to take place on The Moor as the Heritage Collective Pop-Up Event arrives on Saturday 6th June from 12pm to 3pm.
Held in honour of Cultural Heritage Month, the free event promises an engaging afternoon of live performances, hands-on workshops, and cultural showcases for visitors of all ages.
The event will feature a Chinese Craft Workshop hosted by the Confucius Institute, where attendees can take part in traditional activities such as lantern making, mask making, calligraphy and dressing up in traditional outfits.
Adding to the cultural experience, audiences will be captivated by “The Legend of Lo Ting,” a powerful monologue and body movement performance inspired by a Hong Kong myth.
Visitors can also enjoy a lively Dance & Martial Arts Showcase, offering a dynamic glimpse into South Asian culture through vibrant performances.
Live entertainment will run throughout the day, creating an energetic and inclusive atmosphere in the heart of the city. The event is open to everyone and aims to bring communities together through shared cultural experiences.
In addition to celebrating diversity, the event will also support a meaningful cause, with funds being raised throughout the day for Sheffield Children’s Hospital.
Bring friends and family along to enjoy the festivities and take part in this unique cultural celebration.
