One Great Day!

Friday 28th June 2019

An annual charity fundraising day, One Great Day brings together communities across the UK to get involved in a day of family fun and charity challenges, supporting Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity, as well as other local children's charities.

As part of the fundraising initiative The Moor will be hosting a 20-hour static bike ride on Friday 28 June, the equivalent time it would take to cycle from the Moor to Great Ormond Street Hospital. Personnel from The Moor and participating retailers will each take on the four bikes set up on The Moor concourse, as well as a tombola with many prizes donated by the retailers on The Moor.

All donations received for the ride will be shared equally between Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity and Sheffield-based children's charity, Amy's Retreat, who fund short breaks to Center Parcs for families who have children with cancer.

Amanda Phillips Centre Manager for the Moor said: "We are proud to be part of One Great Day.  The aim of the day is to inspire, engage and empower our community to make a difference by getting involved. Thank you to all those taking part and supporting this very worthy initiative - good luck to all and here’s to a great day!”
